Belarus to complete work on double taxation agreements with Spain, Slovenia soon

Belarus will soon complete its work on agreements to avoid double taxation with Spain and Slovenia and will start negotiations with Brazil, the head of the central department for international tax cooperation with the Tax Ministry of Belarus, Alla Sundukova, told reporters on Thursday.

She said the agreement to avoid double taxation with Ireland had recently come into effect.

“We have 60 agreements with foreign countries on avoidance of double taxation, which is a wide network, however, we will expand it to meet the demands of our business,” Sundukova said.

In 2010, Belarus plans to sign deals to avoid double taxation with Jordan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Sudan and Indonesia. There are plans to sign such agreements with France and Luxembourg.
