Union State Council of Ministers to address 26 issues March 16

The next session of the Union State Council of Ministers, scheduled to take place in Belarusian Brest on March 16, will address 26 issues, including the draft program of expansion of Belarusian-Russian cooperation in the fuel and energy sector, Union State Secretary Pavel Borodin told reporters in Minsk.

“We will address 26 issues. We were supposed to hold this session back in December, but these issues, especially the energy cooperation program, appeared to be too complicated. They were addressed at bilateral meetings and by ministerial boards,” Borodin said.

The session will address the balance of demand for the crucial products made in the Union State for the year 2010, simplification of transport procedures, and formation of the united transport system. “There are some challenging issues, especially Union State property management,” Borodin said.

It is also planned to address social protection, Union State regulatory framework, standardization and metrology, etc.
