| Cagliari Vice-President to visit Minsk 10-11 March

Vice-President of Cagliari province (Sardinia, Italy) Angela Maria Quachero and Inna Naletko, Chairman of the International Association of Friendship, Culture and Cooperation, Sardinia-Belarus, are set to travel to Minsk on 10-11 March, Honorary Consul of Belarus in Cagliari Giuseppe Carboni reported.
The trip is organized by the Honorary Consulate of the Republic of Belarus in Cagliari in cooperation with the international links center of the Education Ministry. The event is aimed at the development of cooperation between local authorities of Sardinia and Belarus.
The program of the visit includes meetings and negotiations at the Ministry of Labor and Social Security, the Education Ministry, and at the national institute for advanced training of the Ministry of Labor and Social Security. Apart from that, the Cagliari Vice-President is expected to pay a visit to Italian-Belarusian Center for Cooperation and Education, Sardinia-Global that was established six years ago under the auspices of the Cagliari Government. The center organizes professional training of youngsters and issues European Qualification certificates. The project is an excellent example of Belarusian-Italian cooperation in education and professional training.
The Cagliari Province and Belarus has been linked by friendly relations and close cooperation in various fields. The Sardinian businessmen take part in Belarusian tourist and agriculture exhibitions and fairs. Belarusian businessmen, in turn, attend the seminars, economic forums, and business meetings that are organized under the auspices of the Commerce Chamber of Sardinia and the Api Sarda Association of Small and Medium Businesses.
The Cagliari Province and Belarus have been actively developing contacts in the area of culture and sports. In February, Cagliari hosted Soirees of Belarusian Literature, Theater and Cinema. Belarusian football clubs take part in tournaments in Sardinia.
Giuseppe Carboni also noted the importance of the student exchange. Belarusian children undergo rehabilitation on Sardinia, and Italian children and youngsters visit Belarus. For instance, on 31 March-9April twenty Italian children will spend their holidays in the children’s camp Zubrenok.
The Cagliari Province officials are interested in Belarus’ experience in social and youth policy. The Italian side is interested in international seminars, joint research work and projects.
