| Belarusian banks’ incomes up 14.6% in Jan to Br1.533 tln |

Incomes of Belarusian banks rose 14.6% on the year in January 2010 to 1.533 trillion Belarusian rubles (Br), the National Bank of Belarus reported.
Interest incomes rose 80% to 1.053 trillion rubles, 68.7% of the total, commission incomes went up 24.3% to 157.8 billion rubles, 10.3% of the total, other incomes fell 5.6 times to 90.8 billion rubles, 5.9% of the total, other operating incomes dropped 32.4% to 9.4 billion rubles, representing 0.6% of the total, reserve changes doubled to 218.4 billion rubles, 8.3% of all incomes, and repayment of written off debts increased 7.5 times to 3 billion rubles, 0.2% of the total.
Banks’ expenses rose 10.1% in the period to 1.294 trillion rubles. Interest expenses went up 20.5% to 536.7 trillion rubles, representing 41.5% of all expenses, commission expenses rose 33.6% to 18.3 billion rubles, 1.2% of the total, other bank expenses fell 3.2 times to 79.7 billion rubles, 6.2% of all expenses, other operational expenses fell 1.2 times to 223 billion rubles, 17.2% of all expenses, provision to reserves went up 80% to 435.7 billion rubles, 33.7% of all expenses, and debts written off the balance sheet were at 0.1 billion rubles, 0.008% of the total.
