In 2003 Priorbank became the first Belarusian bank to be granted an international syndicated loan to the amount of 36 million USD. The experience and the structuring know-how of RZB enabled Priorbank to expand its activities for the syndications market.
On February 2005 Priorbank signed a Loan Agreement with DZ Bank to the amount of 40 million USD. This loan became the first syndicated loan organized without the assistance of international institutions.
On December 2005 Priorbank was granted an 8-year 25 million USD Syndicated Loan, led by the EBRD. The purpose of this agreement is mortgage financing in the Republic of Belarus.
RZB, together with Priorbank and Russian JSC Vneshtorgbank, were Mandated Lead Arrangers for the first internationally syndicated loan in foreign currency for the Republic of Belarus at the end of December 2005. The loan of 32 million USD bears an interest rate of LIBOR plus 4.25 per cent p.a. The term is one year, with the option to extend for a further year at the lenders' discretion. The funds are earmarked for infrastructure and social programme investments.
